What We Do
Welcome to Vox Theatre - We are dedicated to providing an inclusive platform for creatives to speak, sing, act and tell their stories from a place of authenticity. Performance-based, we offer opportunities for amateur and pro-am performers to spread their wings and create. Each year you'll find musicals, Shakespeare, cabarets and workshops for all people from all walks of life.

Who We Are
Vox is an artist-led, independent theatre company based in Meanjin/Brisbane. Our name is derived from the Latin for 'voice,' and our community is a hive of fresh ideas and colourful opportunities in a multitude of theatre styles.
How We Work
Our theatre is an artist-led, independent theatre. Our Executive Team operates on an annual basis, and our Production Teams run for short periods for specific shows. Everyone in Vox pays an annual membership fee ($25) which covers their insurance and admin for a full year, regardless of how many shows they do.
We plan for the full year of shows, and invite our community to submit ideas for the following year that they would like to champion.
All profit from shows goes straight back into the theatre for licensing, venue, and show-running costs. Our teams are all volunteers who have full time jobs elsewhere - so please be patient and kind with us too!
